im really new to aerohive.
i found the option to bind a mac to ppsk address. i will use this in my configuration but i dont know how to delete a mac binding from a ppsk.
is there a way to see a list of all binded mac-ppsk addresses ?

Im not sure if i understand this

This means that a AP is acting as a private PSK server and bind the mac address to a ppsk ?
Or is there a global list with binded addresses for all Ap ́s ?

Thanks for help. Maybe some can explain it in more detail for me..

Hello Rene,

To see where a particular MAC address is bound, you can run this command: _test auth mac-bind show <ssid profilename> <mac address>

To unbind a MAC address, you can run this command: execauth <SSID> ppsk-mac-unbinding mac-ppsk <mac-address><password>

Based on your question, I'm not sure you'd need to have a device acting as a PPSK server, could you describe what you are trying to set up in more detail so we can make sure we are giving you the best advice?

Hope this helps!

Hi Sam,
thx for your help.
I would like to assign a ppsk to mac address. Every ppsk is only valid once for corporate device.
meanwhile i solved my question..

i use
show auth mac-binding <sid> to list all bound mac addresses.

other helpful commands are

security-object <string> security private-psk mac-binding-keys-per-mac <number>
security-object <string> security private-psk mac-binding-macs-per-key <number>

exec auth <string> ppsk-mac-unbinding ppsk <string>
exec auth <string> ppsk-mac-unbinding mac <mac_addr>
exec auth <string> ppsk-mac-unbinding mac-ppsk <mac_addr> <string>

may this help some others..

best wishes
