Hi Prashan,

The APs use CAPWAP which is UDP 12222 to communicate with the HiveManager (either VA or Cloud), if the port is blocked for some reason you can use TCP 80.
More details can be found here : http://docs.aerohive.com/330000/docs/...

Regards,

Thanx Arthur,

So when we connect to all APs to switch from there AP identifies the AP controller using CAPWAP.

Do you have sample config for that ? I want to understand how it works

If you're using DHCP for the APs (which is the factory configuration), you just need to allow the ports in the link above and you're basically set.
Enter the serial numbers of your APs in your HiveManager, this way when the AP's will contact the Aerohive servers, you will see them in your HM.
The AP sends requests to redirector.aerohive.com for NG which will identify the AP with it's serial number and well redirect the traffic to your HiveManager.

There are tons of documentation that you can find here if you're new to Aerohive : https://docs.aerohive.com
