Anyone have guidelines on simulating a Hotel wireless solution? Guests login once per 24 hours, using CWP? WE are seeing the guest sessions get re-authenticated after they disassociate with the SSID. I'm sure there's a simple setting somewhere that I'm missing.

I would like to know this as well. It seems there can be done some tricks using the Roaming Cache Ageout, but I am not sure this will give you the same result.

How do you currently have the guest SSID configured? WPA2 only, CWP w/ AUP, self-reg CWP with PPSK's???

Open SSID with CWP. Username/password are pre-defined.

Login succeeds, it just makes them login every time the leave and reattach. A "Hotel Wireless" remembers them for 24h or more...

Hello Jeremy,

Regarding this topic, if the community does not provide you the info you need, you can also reach out to your service provider.

Hi Jeremy,
I don't know if you got an answer to this, but if I understand your question correctly, you need to look under 'advanced settings' for the captive web portal and set the 'registration period' i.e to 24hrs for your example.

If that helps, great, but I have a follow on question to that - does anyone know how I can prevent login after the initial registration period has ended. i.e I want to give 1hr access then prevent login for the rest of the day?

Hi Ian, Today, this behaviour is how the CWP works. We're looking to enhance this functionality to prompt for credentials only after the expiration period. Thanks for the feedback!
