How can I set multiple DNS servers within the Hive Manager Virtual Appliance through the CLI?  I can only seem to set a single DNS server, but I must set multiples for failover purposes.

Looks like it can only be done through the web interface, but I do not know that for sure.

When you create your DNS object in Configuration-Advanced Configuration-Management Services-DNS assignments, if you click "New," you can add additional servers within that object. Thus you can create a single object for a single server, or a group object with multiple servers.

Hi Kyle,

The CLI shell in HiveManager is only really needed and intended to be used for initial setup and low-level system maintenance activities. Once you've given it an IP address, gateway and one DNS server it has everything it needs for you to be able to connect via the web interface and activate a license etc. Then everything else is configurable through the GUI.

The GUI allows you to specify up to three DNS servers (Primary and two backups). If you change the DNS server subsequently on the CLI it will overwrite the Primary and blank out the two backups.

Regards,
Roberto
