HiveOS and HiveManager version 6.1r6a has been released!

Aerohive is pleased to announce the availability of HiveManager version 6.1r6a and HiveOS version 6.1r6 for both on-premise and HMOL customers. In this release we have fixed bugs, addressed security vulnerabilities and continued to make enhancements to product experience and quality. Customers with an on-premise HiveManager may upgrade through their HiveManager directly from the Download Server or manually download the upgrade file from their Support Portal. As with our previous version 6 releases, there are certain hardware requirements for on-premise HiveManagers; please make sure that your on-premise HiveManager meets the requirements laid out on page 1 of the release notes before upgrading. For HMOL customers, you should see the option to upgrade to 6.1r6a if you navigate to “Home > Administration > HiveManager Operations > Update Software”.

There are many new features and changes in 6.1r6a, so please read the release notes thoroughly to ensure that you are well informed of these changes prior to upgrading. For convenience, here are the links to both the Release Notes and the 6.1r6/a New Features Guide

Aerohive is also very excited to announce our new Personalized Engagement Platform,  Social Login! With Social Login, you are now able to configure it so that users can access guest SSIDs using social media credentials, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google+. More information can be found on our website, which has a link to both Social Login At-a-Glance as well as a short video explaining its benefits.
