Hello,

We are currently evaluating HM-NG for a migration purpose

Therefor i need to setup the HM-NG vm with a static ip address and some other settings. I'm not able to find any menu option within the HM-NG portal to do that. Also tried to logon to HM-NG vm console but without success.

We are running HM-NG vm on our Hyper V 2012 r2 cluster

Any advice would appreciated

Regards

Hi Frank
NG Virtual Appliance is not supported on Hyper V. It is supported only on VMware infrastructure. Can you try it using vCenter? Please see data sheet: http://www.aerohive.com/products/network-management/hivemanager-ng-onpremises.html

Hello

As we are fully standardized on Microsoft products it is not an option for us to run VMWare.

Is there any chance that in the near future there will be some kind of support for hyper-v ? At least with basic network configuration for the VM?

We also use Hyper-V and switching to VMWare will not be happening at this time.  Hivemanager NG does work on Hyper-V whether it is supported or not as the Linux kernel does support it.  But creating some basic network configuration like we had with the original Hivemanager would go a long way even if you don't want to officially support it.

I am also curious about the Hyper-V support. We are currently running HM 6 on VMWare and don't have enough hardware resources to run HM NG.
