Hello Charles,

Can you go in to your Plan tab in the Hive Manager NG instance> Open your Map> Click on the gear icon in the top right hand corner of the Map> Global Settings> Scroll down a bit until you see Calibrate Heat Maps. If this is not already enabled, please try enabling it and trying again.

If this does not resolve your issue, you'll want to open a support case if possible so they can gather data on this issue and get it escalated so our engineering team is aware of the issue and can work on solving it (they may already be aware, but more data can't hurt). You can open a support case at support.aerohive.com or by calling support at 866-365-9918 (+1-408-510-6100 International).

Hope this helps!

It was unchecked, but now that I have it checked, it is saying "The simulated device on floor is not supported to show calibrated heat maps." I am using this to plan a future installation and I have put simulated APs on the map. I was wanting to see how much interference one AP will be causing with another it the vicinity. Can you not do this with simulated APs?

I just tested this in my lab and it looks like I get the same message with "Calibrate heat maps" checked, but when it is unchecked I am able to see the heat map display with simulated devices. So if you uncheck that option, and then still can't see the heat map display for your simulated devices, I would suggest contacting support so they can start troubleshooting this with you. If you do open a support case, let me know what the case number is, and I can work with you directly.

Wouldn't you need multiple devices to create interference?
