Is HiveManager NG available for upgrade from HMOL yet? If so, how do I go about getting it?

We are not focused on migrating existing customers from HMOL to HiveManager NG at this time, but you are more than welcome to try it out, get used to the new interface and tools, and submit ideas and feedback with the built-in feedback tool.

You can go to and register for a HiveManager NG account now.  You can use your entitlement key for HMOL in your HiveManager NG account to get the new account entitled.

There is not a configuration migration tool at this time, however, so you will need to build a new configuration in HMNG.  You can move an AP by deleting it from HMOL (thereby removing it from the redirector) and then entering the serial number in HMNG.

Andrew, any updates on the HMOL > HMNG migration?  Or at the very least a tool to migrate configurations?

I am interested in the migration path as well --- We have nearly 150 AP's!!! As well as their related switches....  No reason I can see to move if I have to do it all manually...  We didn't mention the policies in that list either...

We also have CVG in the mix --- I wonder how that would migrate.

NG does not have feature parity with HMOL so you need to be really, really careful before moving a production network across.

We'll see what happens as NG further develops itself....   Thanks!

I would also be very interested in a migration if it is in development!

I would be more interested in hearing the advantages/disadvantages of moving to NG. Will I get new useful features? Is Aerohive eventually discontinuing the non-NG product?
