Hivemanager NG - Aerohive Kiosk Authentication Error

I've configured NG (guest manager account) and an iPad to run Aerohive Kiosk app. I can sign and go through the registration process. However, when the app gets to "Requesting secure Wi-Fi credentials" it fails with an authentication error: "purpose is required". When I checked NG no user had been created. I can see a "Purpose field" in NG when I log in using the Guest Manager account and manually create a user. However, it's not mandatory. I've been through the process on the iPad a few times and cannot see a "purpose" field on any of the screens. Any ideas?

This is fixed now. The app doesn’t work if the guest manger user has the Guest Management role as described in the PowerPoint (https://t.co/kaM0aKAW3W):

“Best practice dictates that the iPad Kiosk application use a guest operator account that is assigned to the Guest Management role. The iPad Kiosk application should not use a top-level admin account which would give it full access rights to HiveManager NG.”

I changed our guest manager to the “Operator” role and it’s working now. I can only assume that the Powerpoint is out of date, it’s a couple of years old.
