Hello,

Last week i update the AP from 5.1r3 to 6.1R6 . The update went fine and the ap came back alive. Then in the evening around 20:01 the hivemanager said the ap went down.

The next day we restarted it by unpluging the network cable.
The AP still did not came online. We can see it has the ip adres what was in the config and we can ping it and if we type the adres in the a webbrowser we get to a login page. But we are not able to login(dont know the username or password) I tried some defaults i found on the internet like admin/aerohive and aerohive/aerohive but that didnt work.

Then i decided to reset the machine by holding the reset button. After de AP restart it gets now a dhcp adres and the name changed to a standard name.

But it still dont show online in the hivemanager.

Any idea what else i might tried? Been looking on the aerohive to make a ticket but cant find a way to fill one in.

Greets

Are you now able to login in to the HiveUI (Web GUI) of the AP with admin/aerohive?

Also you must be able to do a SSH connection to the AP via the DHCP address and admin/aerohive.
Here try the command "show capwap client" and check if the AP uses the correct HMOL FQDN and VHM!

Please check on what Server-FQDN your HiveManager Online Account is created.
Login in to your HiveManager Online Account and compare the FQDN from your address bar.

hm-emea-021.aerohive.com?

Also your are belonging to CarGlass?

When you login to your HiveManager Online Account, at the first screen you see a VHM-XXXX ("VHM-NAME")!

That is your current VHM which you are using!
