I know it's not the same as a nslookup. I don't think there is such a command available at the CLI.
Perhaps a better question is for me to ask you what it is that is making you think that DNS isn't working so that I can give you some constructive suggestions?
I you think it's DNS, I'd be minded to look at some packet captures to see what's going on.
It is rather unlikely that a hardware fault would cause DNS to fail.
Thanks again for your response. basically we can ping the branch router and ping the APs connected to it, but its not resolving back to the on-line hivemanager, so I thought it was pointing at a DNS issue. What's even more confusing is that the APs appear t be working ok. Thanks
