I'm in the process of evaluating Aerohive's APs and WiFi solutions, we have an AP230 with Hivemanager 6.1r6a. We have a number of SSIDs setup, one of these is for our Android phones, and I'd like to configure this SSID with only access to Google Services, so users can only access Google Drive, Apps, Mail etc and update the phones using the Google Play Store. However I can't find a rule the works for updating apps from the store, I've tried the following.

1. Added all the Google Apps in the Application Services
2. Added Ports TCP & UDP 5228
3. Added Ports 5228, 5229, 5320 & 443
4. Added access to domains ggpht.com & google.com

None of the above appear to work, any ideas ?

Thanks in Advance

I've managed to determine that the "IP" Application Service permits access to the Google Play Store, any ideas what other permissions this Application Service allows ?

Thanks

Please upgrade your firmware to 6.2r1a.  There is a new DPI engine in 6.2rX and above, and the new engine includes a signature for Google Play Store.
