Good Morning,

The company I work for has a Aerohive Enterprise Manager license and created a controller in a virtual machine with Aerohive Manager Express, properly licensed. I would like to know how to migrate all settings and devices for the new controller.
Report that found a migration to Aerohive Manager NG, but this is not our solution used in the company.

Thank you and sorry for the rusty English.

Your english is fine, much better than my ability to communicate in any other language.

I am sorry, but I think you may have misunderstood the relationship between HiveManager in Enterprise mode versus in Express mode.

Express mode creates a bunch of pre-defined objects for you, makes certain assumptions, and limits the types of configurations you can use. Enterprise mode does not create many if any pre-defined objects and makes no assumptions about your environment. You can easily change from Express to Enterprise, but going the other direction may not be possible depending on your settings.

I will ask one of our systems engineers with lots of experience setting up both to review my comments and offer corrections and elaborations if I am mistaken.

Thanks,

I discovered that can be changed from express to enterprise. Now my problem is, how to migrate the configuration and devices from Cloud Controller to Internal Controller.

All you have to do is backup the database in HiveManager Online and then restore the database to your HiveManager On-premise.  This is assuming you are using HiveManager version 6.x.  I don't think HiveManager NG has the ability to do backups/restores yet.

Mike is correct, you can switch from Express mode to the Enterprise, but not from the Enterprise to Express.

Why do you want to run Express? It is very simple to use but also very limited. I would recommend that you switch the new HiveManager to the Enterprise mode and migrate with backup/ restore.
