Hello Satham,

Unfortunately this means that the number of devices which your HiveManager is managing has exceeded the total number of licensed devices under "Home > Administration > License Management". If you have any previously managed devices that are no longer in service, then you can free up a slot by clicking on the checkbox next to the device in HiveManager and clicking remove.

However, if all of your devices are currently in service, then either you are needing to purchase additional licenses to manage additional devices OR, what is more likely, that when you recently purchased the devices you are trying to manage, that you received a new entitlement key that did not get applied. You can either check for the email that you should have received that contained the new entitlement key, or you can call support. If you are in the US or Americas, feel free to call Aerohive Support, or if you are international, please get in touch with the partner providing support in your region.

There is one other alternative for the error you received. If you are on an on-premise HiveManager, do you have multiple VHMs? If so, when you create the new VHMs, you need to specify how many of the available licenses you would like to apply to that VHM. These numbers can be adjusted, so if you are an on-premise HiveManager with multiple VHMs in use, then this may be what you are running into here. However, if you are on HMOL, or you have an on-premise HiveManager with no sub-VHMs, then you are likely experiencing the first situation.

Hope this helps
