We have on premise hives and we are unable to work with maps very well. I have two maps that keep saying: "London" cannot be removed because an Aerohive device icon appears on it or there is a submap under it. First disassociate all devices or submaps from the map, and then try again.

On the top of the directory structure there are various green icons for buildings etc, and also unable to delete these. I have tried raising a support case and have no joy. Also due to this I have maps still showing in the dashboard.

Am I doint something wrong.

Try going to the floors where devices may have been assigned. There should be a devices button up top. Move all devices from the right pane back to the available devices pane on the left and updating. That should let you delete the floor then delete the building.

I can't say for sure, but I suspect this issue is caused by a sub-floor/folder object being owned by another process or user in:
HiveManager > Dashboard.

It's known that if a map is selected under HiveManager > Dashboard, then it will not be possible to delete that floor until it's deselected. This creates a chain reaction where, If you can't delete a floor, then you can't delete the container above it in the hierarchy.

This can be further complicated when multiple users are configured for HiveManager.  Let's say "user1" has a map selected in HiveManager > Dashboard.  In some cases this prevents user2 from deleting the sub-floor in question.

The solution is to deselect the map in HiveManager > Dashboard, or get the other user to deselect the map in HiveManager > Dashboard.  Then the sub-floor should allow itself to be deleted.  After all subfloors are deleted, then it should be possible to delete container which formerly held these sub-floors.

Hope this helps  :)

The issue does appear more complicated. I have 1 folder and 2 sub sections under that. However on the folder list I have around 10 green icons. I have tried going into the master account the hive was registered in, and my admin account to ensure the same is here.

If you're not able to resolve this issue by deselecting (described above), then you'll need to contact your service provider and open a support case to have this condition addressed.
