Short answer: Yes, and No.

Longer answer: Unfortunately, at this time, no we cannot accomplish exactly what you desire. You are permitted to specify up to 5 destination email addresses for notifications, but all notifications will be sent to all recipients. This is an interesting enhancement for a future release, though.

If you were allowed to select groups of messages for specific recipients, how would you want to group the messages? For example, all authentication-related messages go to one recipient or list of recipients, and all network-configuration related messages go to a different recipient or list of recipients?

How many groupings of messages would you want, and what would those groupings be?

Similar to your example there. Think about an office that has a 7-8 person IT staff. It's redundant for them to all get the same message. They might slice up duties, etc. Another possibility might to be to set an 'on call' window for an SMS/Automated phone message. i.e.: After 12:00 AM, an AP down notification or rogue in net triggers a phone call. I'm just brainstorming here as much as anything.

Thanks, good to hear our thoughts about future improvement here weren't totally off-base. Unlikely this will get into the very next release, but we are considering something along the lines of your first scenario for a future release. Scheduled changes in actions for selected events will probably have to wait for a follow-on to that.
