Does OS detection use DHCP or HTTP user agent by default? Which one takes precedence?

New network policies will default to using DHCP option 55 for OS detection because it makes OS information available prior to use of a web browser on the client. An existing network policy from HiveOS 5.0 and earlier that is upgraded to 5.1 will retain HTTP as the primary method of OS determination. If both are selected, the DHCP option 55 will take precedence.

You can change OS Detection from HTTP to DHCP opt 55 under the Management Options > Enable OS Detection > Use DHCP option 55 contents.

Hope this helps.
