De-registering old BR100 units

Hi

A client has replaced their BR100 units and have asked us to find new homes for them, either dumping any very old ones, giving to charity or schools perhaps.

Which is nice.

Before we do, do we have to go through a de-registration process for these units for them to be used by other parties?

I know that with some bits, I'm thinking old Watchguard kit, we have to de-register them with Watchguard so that someone else can add them to their own management portal, or even get firmwares.

Thanks

Olly

I have usually done a factory reset and then removed the serial numbers from HiveManager (online) inventory and autoprovisioning. Somebody correct me if that's incomplete.

Yes, it is correct, you can actually remove and reset to the default settings from the Hive Manager.
