Can anyone teach me the command line to update the firmware of AP. I know there is a GUI way to do it but just want to know the command line. Have checked command list, however couldn't find the right command. Thanks.

Hi James,

The command you are looking for is 'save image'. If you search for 'save image' under you will see the appropriate variables.

Alternatively, I would recommend accessing the Web GUI of the AP itself (as an alternative to HiveManager) which will allow you to upload the image via a browser window - it's a bit easier!

Kind regards,

I believe that you cannot from certain firmware releases because you need to use HTTPS and our earlier code used RC4 as the cipher, which current Web browsers now prohibit. All current HiveOS releases have shifted to AES.

You therefore sometimes have to update by alternate means to avoid a catch-22.
