Hi,

I want to monitor client counts in my own monitoring tool. Which is the OID for client count, because i cannot see this information when i do a snmp walk or browse through the mibs.

Thanks in advance,

Sorry, I don't believe that's available via SNMP. Our SNMP support is admittedly very rudimentary, mostly traps and alarms and not query-able OIDs.

Hi Mike,

I am just setting up some AP330's in Solarwinds using SNMPv3 and wondered if a client count OID has been created? As far as I can see it has not but hoped you could confirm.

Many thanks

Dom

Hello Dom,
No, we have not yet released a version of HiveOS with support for querying number of associated clients via SNMP. That *IS* on our list, we are hoping to revamp our SNMP support starting in the spring 2015 release.

What we did was to write a check for Icinga/Nagios that reads the associated client list, and counts it...therefore returning the client number.

The OID for the associated clients is:

.1.3.6.1.4.1.26928.1.1.1.2.1.2.1.3

Hope this helps,

Simon
