Is there a procedure to use a 3th party certificate for the use of RADIUS? It is not clear for me how to use a web certificate for a RADIUS AP on the HMOL.

This is what I think that needs to be done:

1. create srv certificat on the HMOL (my question on this step is what I input at the common name?)
2. export the certificat and execute a request at a 3th party CA
3. inport CA root certificat received from the 3th party CA
4. use the srv cert at the RADIUS AP

We mainley use BYOD devices.

Thx for the answers (as usual)!!

Personally, I would worry about getting the certifiicate(s) you want outside of anything to do with Aerohive and then import it along with the chain necessary. OpenSSL at the command line is a great tool to do this.

You optimally want a certificate/certificates for the name of your domain, not the name of the RADIUS server(s) handling the requests.

The CN should be for your domain. There should also be one (and only one) SAN entry for this domain present too.
