Captive Portal not showing on some AP

Hi,

we've deployed a guest network with a captive portal self-registration.
Actually this captive portal does not show on some AP (with different kind of device) but works well on other.
We only have one network policy and here are some AP which have this problem :
AP230 with 6.8r1 firmware
AP121 with 6.5r5 firmware

The clients of this network successfully got an IP address from our DHCP and we are able to ping them but when we try to open a browser nothing appears.

What could the best way to troubleshoot the fact that this captive portal does not shows up ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I presume that you have performed a full configuration push to these APs? I've had issues where changes haven't applied after a delta push.

Hi and thanks for this reply,

sadly, the full configuration push hasn't solved the problem.

Try deleting all CWPs on the APs with a problem and then re-push a full config. I've had issues (and read of others with the same issues) where sometimes the CWP becomes corrupt and doesn't display. When my users have reported this, it is usually some error page shown.

Deleting them is kind of hidden in HM. Go to Update->Advanced->Remove Captive Web Page Directory. Or SSH into the APs and issue "clear web-directory".

Thanks for this proposal, we've also tried this but no page appears. I will keep searching and will get you informed.
