can't connect, light always stays amber on the br100

I was sent the BR100 router from the IT department to hook to my computer. I followed the instructions that came with the unit. The amber light turns on but never changes to white. I have a Motorola NVG589 that ATT provided for my internet. I left the unit on overnight thinking it needed time to connect

Hello Tom,

An Amber light should mean that the BR has power and is trying to establish a network connection and a CAPWAP connection to HiveManager.  If the Amber light never turns white, it could mean the BR was not able to establish CAPWAP and/or a network connection.
