cannot access unmanaged device tab

Hi
I try to add an unmanaged device but I cannot find the unmanaged tab in both monitor and configure all device, I am in monior and configure user group, and have all permission but why I cannot see that?

Are you running HiveManager or HiveManager NG and it is on-premise or in the cloud?

That is HiveManager Online.

In HiveManager Online:

  • Click on the "Monitor" menu



  • Click on the "Device Inventory..." button
  • Select "Add/Import" from the drop down menu
  • Enter the access point/switch/CVG serial number into the field
  • Click on the "Add" button
What you are doing is advising the redirector (the component the access point/switch/CVG will initially attempt to connect to) which HiveManager Online instance the access point/switch/CVG should create CAPWAP tunnels to once it determines there is no on-premise HiveManager instance.

When you have entered the serial numbers of all your access points, switches and/or CVGs click on the "Unmanaged Devices" tab in the "Monitor" area.   You should see all the serial numbers you entered with a grey icon next to them - this means they haven't connected yet.

Note:  The access point/switch/CVG will attempt to connect to HiveManager Online using CAPWAP (UDP 12222) - ensure any firewalls allow that traffic.

When the access point/switch/CVG connects it will be removed from the "Unmanaged Devices" area and appear in the "Managed Devices" area.

I am having the same problem with not being able to see the Managed and Unmanaged tabs. I have "Configuration and Monitoring" rights in HiveManager Online.  Any thoughts on why I wouldn't be able to see the tabs or the Device Inventory... button?
