As nobody appears to know on the forums creating a case with Aerohive Support is your best bet.

Was that an Aerohive staff member or a reseller engineer?

Ok this is the latest. from Tech Support.

"Hi Paul,
I've run this by our engineers in the home office, but at this time I'm sorry to report that from what I have been told, we don't have the ability to accomplish your goal. (**having just facebook.com, facebook.net, akamaihd.net and fbcdn.net in the walled garden**) However, what we can do is submit this as a feature request for future releases. What you'll also want to do is file a enhancement request with your local SE to reinforce this. The more a feature is requested, the more likely it will come to fruition."

So. essentially we have to put in all iterations of the facebook domain, IP and sub domains into the walled garden in order for it to work - so far I have about 35 entries in the walled garden and I can almost get facebook to work (login works but CSS is not being found), my next attempt is to list all the ip subnets to see if that will work better.

If anyone has a list of all the subdomains and associated domains or a list of all the ip subnets I would be grateful - otherwise I'll build it myself over the next couple of days if anyone wants them.
