Jaishree,
Please define your terms.

Are you referring to HiveOS, that runs on our access points, switches, and branch routers?

Or are you referring to HiveManager?

HiveManager has an on-premises version and a cloud version.

There is a CLI shell available in HiveOS, but it is not Linux, it is our HiveOS shell, and you cannot install or execute foreign apps there.

There is no access to the underlying OS for our cloud version of HiveManager, HMOL.

My problem is that I have two table in hive. One is train and another is test I have written a code in R to fetch the test data and ran do some modelling and then to add the result as a new column of test table.

But, the person for whom I have written this he does not know R he ask me to run this R script from hive shell. I searched in google did not get any thing I think we can not do this.

I am new in hive I do not have much knowledge of hive.

Thank you for your response.

I think you may have the wrong product Jaishree. I think you're probably talking about Apache Hive (on Hadoop). This is AEROHIVE - a wireless and wired networking vendor.
