Branch on Demand, connecting wired devices via a switch

I plan to deploy a simple BR100 in a number of branch offices connected to a CVG VA.
Since the BR100 or BR200-WP will be mounted high near the ceiling, it's not a convenient place to run ethernet to some wired devices.
Is it possible to simply run a single low-cost 8-port switch to the BR100, then connect the wired printer and desktop to the switch. The switch would be a 'dumb' switch ie that doesn't require any config etc.
I just wish to confirm that the IPsec VPN will still be tunnelled via the switch.

thanks all!

Hi Jason,

That's absolutely fine.

The devices connected to your switch will all be treated as part of the network that the switch is connected to (based on the BR port it's connected to). So if you configure your BR100 eth1 to be in say vlan 10 with a network of 10.10.10.x/24 and connect the 8 port to eth1, then all of the devices connected to the 8 port will also be in vlan 10.

If you connect a managed switch to the BR, then you could configure the lan ports of the BR to be a trunk and extend multiple vlans to the switch if you wished.
