Bonjour Gateway VLAN issues

I have deployed a Bonjour Gateway virtual appliance on our ESX host, but the VLAN trunking does not work when setting the vSwitch to VGT trunk mode (VLAN ID 4095). It appears that the eth0 interface needs to have a VLAN ID assigned to it but I cannot find how to do that. Has anyone else had problems with the VLAN settings as well?

All VLAN tagging of packets is performed by the virtual switch before leaving the ESXi/ESX host. The ESXi/ESX host network adapters must be connected to trunk ports on the physical switch. The portgroups connected to the virtual switch must have an appropriate VLAN ID specified.

Hope these tips help
