I have 4 VLANs with 20 Services running and published times is 60. Is there any cap on the Bonjour Gateway? Thus, under this 20 services I have my each staff laptop acting as an Apple TV i.e 50 Staff, is this equivalent to 20+50=70 Services?

I need the calculation on how much services this BGD can sustain?

Thanks

(Device #) X (service #) X (vlan #)

APs max 1000 services
Free BG 500 services

If the BG sends a query out, and devices is asleep and doesn't respond, service is purged from BG

If more then the max services are heard by the BG, services are over written.

on the client side there is a supression mechanism for querries
starts at 1 sec and doubles until it reaches 1 hour

hi Andrew Thanks for answering my query. For some reason, my bonjour is not broadcasting but by running the show bonjour gateway status, it shows that I have Total 6 VLANS attached with total services 28 and published 15 times. Not sure what is going wrong and I have restarted numerous time. Any further help is much appreciated.

Free BG or AP BG

Have you created a bonjour profile and pushed it out to the BG
this is were you tell the BG what vlans to scan for services and what services to allow from what vlan to what vlans.
