Bonjour gateway not seeing any services

I have a network with 4 routed VLANs, 3 of them being mapped to wireless SSIDs hanging off aerohive access points.

I have enabled the bonjour gateway across all access points via the hivemanager, and applied the changes to the access points, however, despite there being advertised services on multiple vlans, nothing shows up when browsing to /hm/bonjourGatewayMonitoring.action (I see a realm, and a BDD has been selected, but there are no services). I've left it for an hour and refreshed many times.. even rebooted the access points, but there's been no change.

I've read through the hivemanager help but it hasn't helped. I've also read this posting - but I'm doing this on the access points, not in a standalone VM, and the APs are in express mode, so I'm not sure I can get to a CLI to run the show commands.

Software version is 5.1r5a

Am I misunderstanding how this should work, or maybe missed a "turn it on" tickbox somewhere ?

Depends on the network design where the routers are etc..

David's Blog has lot's of info

for version 6.1
for us routing is done at a core switch and we trunk the vlans to the APs and remote Switches

go to monitor
select an AP - look at the IP
ssh to that IP
enter hive creds
show bonjour-gateway status

look for
My BDD: x.x.x.x

ssh to x.x.x.x

show bonjour-gateway status
show bonjour-gateway services local

Are you trunking to the APs?
The BDD has to create an interface in every vlan

Bgd0.1 x:x:x - U - 10 - Aerohive -
Bgd0.2 x:x:x - U - 20 - Aerohive -
Bgd0.3 x:x:x - U - 30 - Aerohive -
Bgd0.4 x:x:x - U - 40 - Aerohive -
Bgd0.5 x:x:x - U - 50 - Aerohive -

Also make sure you mgt0 interface vlan and native vlan are sorted

If all that is good to go then at the bonjour policy and what services are allow from where to where

What does you bonjour policy look like
