Bonjour Gateway - maximum number of vlans/subnets support

I've read on these two posts, first post, second post, that the Bonjour Gateway appliance does not have a maximum number of VLANs/Subnets that it can rebroadcast Bonjour traffic on, but does has a limit of 500 'services' (as described in the first post).

I just wanted to confirm if this information is still correct with the current Bonjour Gateway product?

Hi,

No, that information is not still correct. Those FAQ entries are stale and should be updated.

See the following, taken from the release notes for HiveOS 6.2r1:

Hope this helps,

Nick

Thanks for that, where is that from?

That says that there is no limit to 'services'.  Are there any known limits to the amount of Vlans/Subnets?

It's from the release notes for HiveOS 6.2r1.

There shouldn't be a limit as it is stateless, a VLAN being just a field representing a number in the 802.1Q tag of the Ethernet frame.

Remember that the free Bonjour gateway has been discontinued. It is no longer available and it is not maintained. Your question asked about the current Bonjour gateway.

The stateless Bonjour gateway is available on all the APs except the AP320s/AP340s that can only go up to HiveOS 6.1r6. It is also available on the virtual appliance.
