I've auto provisioned a new AP230 for my company. I purchased two, and both of them up. However, one showed on the HiveManager, while the other remains with an orange light and no deployment has happened yet. It is attached to a PoE injector on the other side. Help?
I've run into this a few times. Since one of the 230s show in the hive we can eliminate firewall and content filter issues. My next thought would be check all the physical stuff - cables, switch port, POE injector (If the cat 5 cables are backward you will get an orange light, but I refuse to admit how I know this.).
What happened when you entered the serial number of the misbehaving AP into HMOL? Did you get an error? Does it show in HMOL as unprovisioned with no CAPWAP or something else?
I assume you have enabled the auto-provisioning profile your created for the AP230. Also, make sure the access point is receiving the correct CAPWAP settings via DHCP that will point it to your HM. When I create auto-provisioning profiles, I do it based off of IP subnets. Are you able to share your provisioning profile?
