We have a virtual appliance where we manage the hivemanagers of our clients. Now we want to make the social login and the client management function available for our clients. We enable this services at the main management of the virtual hive appliance, but we can not enable this services at the hivemanagers of our clients, they are just not visible in the list. What goes wrong?

Thx!

There are two stages to getting the Mobility Suite applications like Social Login and Client Management working with an on-premises HiveManager.

1) Tie your on-premises HiveManager with your MyHive account.  Login with super admin rights to your HiveManager, and insert your MyHive credentials into the Customer ID field (Home > Administration > HiveManager Services > Customer ID Retrieval.

2) Enable Client Management and/or Social Login for each VHM that will use these services.
- Many customers using on-premises HiveManager only have Aerohive devices in the Home VHM.  So you would only need to enable those services from the same HiveManager Services menu as in the previous step.
-But if you have additional VHMs on your HiveManager, you would need to enable Client Management/Social Login individually for those  VHMs. Login as a Configuration and Monitoring admin for the relevant VHM, or if you are logged in as super admin, you can switch to a downlevel VHM by clicking Logout > Switch Virtual HiveManager > [YourVHM].  Then go to Home > Administration > HiveManager Services and then Client Management Settings or Social Login Settings to enable.

My apologies, but after reviewing the settings on an on-premises HiveManager, I found I got part 2 of the above answer completely wrong.

With on-premises HiveManager, super admin accounts are the only ones who can enable Client Management or Social Login, and this is done in the Home VHM. Once these services are enabled for the server, these services are automatically enabled for down-level VHMs.  Once enabled by the super admin, the option to use Client Management or Social Login should appear in the SSID configuration for any VHM on the server.

Again, sorry for the mistake.

Thx Andrew, I indeed can enable the social login. Then I have one more question, how does the customers check their own reports after social login because in this way only the myhive account of the superadministrator is connected?
Thx!
