Hi,

I have some problems with my application dashboard. I upgraded my Hive to 6.0r2a version and i upgraded the OS and application signatures to the HiveAPs.

I create a application pdf report and it seems to work fine but I cannot see any Application info in the dashboard. In all the application charts I see: 'There is currently no data available for the specified time range or data filter'. And I also have no problem with the data filters.

I followed the instructions of the new release but I can ́t find the problem. Could you help me?

Thanks in advance.

Raul,

Have you added applications to the watch list? The dashboard charts are based on the watchlist applications. To do this, go to the reports section, and at the bottom of the reports list select "Report Settings". Select up to 30 applications to add to the watch list for inclusing in the charts.

Hi Tash,

That was my first problem, the thing is how many time is necessary for the charts to update the info. I have a useful info displayed in my "last day report" but I can ́t see any apps info in my last 8 hours or last hour report.

What ́s going wrong?

And a last question. Can I know what user or IP Address is using that applications? It shouldn ́t be very difficult to identify this info from HiveAPs...

Thanks for your help!

The "Last Hour" selection is a bit quirky. In order to reduce the load on the server engineering designed it to not constantly refresh. You will need to access the last-hour data (and see "no data") and then go back in a few minutes and access it again in order to see the last hour.

The "Last 8 hours" data is refreshed automatically on (I think) an hourly basis, so you will have to wait a bit (up to an hour) after you first enable the watchlist in order to see it.

Lastly, the user information is included if you are using an authentication method which supports client identity. PSK and Clear access to not, so all of the users will be dumped into an "unknown" bucket. If you use 802.1x or PPSK (Private-PSK) then you can have an identity associated with each user and individual user names will show up.

Hi Tash, your explanation it ́s perfect but it seems i have some problems because the Hive it ́s not showing any App data in the 1 last hour/8 last hours graph.

I changed the HiveManager time and also the hiveAPs and the data is no refreshed at all.

I understood that we have no info of user but I thought that it would be possible to show the IP address that consumes too bandwith.

Any further idea?

Thanks!

Hi Raul,

Please consult this feature guide for information how to set up the App visibility: http://www.aerohive.com/330000/docs/h...

Starts at page 11. There are a few dependancies like assigning an unique tag or map to the group.

If you still have problems please get back.
