Is there a way to make the model of AP show up on this screen? It would also be helpful if only the applicable images for the AP's checked were shown

Bradley,
There's no way that I can think of this early in the morning. I will pass your request along to my peer who owns HiveManager to see if that is already on his list of future enhancements (I think it is).

Many customer embed the device type within the device name. It doesn't look like your naming scheme will easily accomodate that, and it also would be a pain to go rename every device.

Have you considered changing your settings to perform updates by software version instead of image filename?

I had never noticed the update by software version. Thanks!

Mike,

Got this error when upgrading by software version. It looks like it is trying to push 5.1r3 and not 5.1r3a

D'oh! I'm very sorry I steered you wrong, Bradley. I will report this as a bug on your behalf; my understanding was that the update by software version would choose the latest image within that version, meaning it would choose 5.1r3a over 5.1r3.

As a Product Manager I usually have hands-on experience with products and versions that are not-yet-released, its very likely that I misremembered *when* the differentiation between a software version and patches to that version was actually implemented.

Bradley,
It was just pointed out to me that in your original message on this thread, on the immediately prior screen you could have sorted the All Devices list by HW Model and selected the collection of platforms of interest (say, all of your AP120s), and then when you hit the "Update' button and select "Upload and Activate HiveOS Software", only those platforms would appear in that screen. Not quite what you were looking for, but an alternative means of getting close to where you wanted to be.

Thanks Mike! I'm def thinking there are some interesting ways to improve the speed of this process. Maybe something like a 'Load most current firmware to all managed devices (if not on latest)' and reboot at midnight' button. For businesses without a full-time IT person, this could make it easy to keep devices up to date,
