Why do the AP 350's lose the 5ghz channel config? The command "interface wifi1 radio channel 44" disappears from the config after 10 minutes. Everything else stays there. This is for a site survey AP that does not need to check into hivemanager.

Why would the 5ghz channel vanish but 2.4 stays there?

Whole config:
ssid SURVEY
interface wifi0 radio channel 6
interface wifi0 radio power 17
interface wifi1 radio channel 44
interface wifi1 radio power 20
interface wifi0 ssid SURVEY
interface wifi1 ssid SURVEY
hostname SiteSurveyAP1
save config

Config after 10 minutes:
ssid SURVEY
interface wifi0 radio channel 6
interface wifi0 radio power 17
interface wifi1 radio power 20
interface wifi0 ssid SURVEY
interface wifi1 ssid SURVEY
hostname NMSiteSurveyAP1

Adam,

Could this be caused by "config rollback". It is hard to tell but it might be wise to disable config rollback with "no config rollback enable" (a "show config rollback" will show the configuration rollback status").

HMOL-AP330#show config rollback
Status: enabled
Trigger mode: capwap-disconnect
Expiration time: 10 minute(s)
Wait ACSP expiration time: 5 minute(s)

If you are looking to create a AP for survey mode, I would recommend disabling this feature to ensure the AP doesn't rollback to a known configuration due to lack of capwap connection. Another good thing would be to save the survey configuration as the boot-config with "save config running bootstrap".

Good Luck.
