AP130 + Cable Modem

I am looking to setup an AP130 for WiFi. I would like to plug the AP directly into the cable modem and go from there. Whenever I try to plug it directly into the modem, it looses connection with HiveManger NG and I am unable to push updates. When I plug it into a Cisco Wireless Router which is connected to my modem, it works fine (Talks to HiveManger NG, Internet, etc). I have setup a basic Network Policy and SSID to get things going. Any tips on getting this setup with just my cable modem and the AP?

I don't have any 130s on our network, but make sure it can function as a router. Otherwise, you'll need your Cisco to perform routing and NAT.

There are APs that are able to act as routers. Unfortunately it appears the 130 is not one of them.

Only the AP330/350 can function as routers. I've been asking for a long time (with no response) when there will be an 11ac equivalent.
