Hi,

I want to use an AP121 for a public hotspot but I need to keep the wired IP range separate from the public hotspot (both running off the same ADSL router), on the BR200 I can put in DHCP and NAT the routers address then set firewall rules to block the private and public from seeing each other's IP addresses.  Can I do this with an AP121 does anyone know ?

Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,

The AP121 does not support Router mode... However, you can create a DHCP server and a sub mgt interface/NAT.

Have you looked at this similar article?

Hi Sam,

Great article thanks, took a while to work out how it all goes but this article was the final nail to getting it working.

Basically you have to make sure the subnet of the guest DHCP is different from the router subnet (probably sounds obvious).

Works really well and does exactly what I want it to do.

Thanks
Paul
