We have aerohive ap121 deployed in the office.
And I found that 2 users connected to the AP can not access each other.
While looking at the wireshark trace, I found out that the arp request is not get replied.
Is AP121 disable users to access each other? and how can i check the setting?

Thank you

Do you have a Firewall Rule enabled on the User Profile?

Hello Travisk

Thank you for your reply.
I just checked all user profile in the management console.
But no firewall is defined, all blank.
Do you have any other idea?

Thank you.

By default they will not block users from accessing each other. An AP is a Layer 2 Device.   Can you verify the Default Gateway on both clients?  from there verify there is no ACL/FW rule blocking ICMP/SSH...ETC whatever you are attempting to access the other device.

Hello Travisk

Thank you for your reply.
I have confirmed the ACL/FW on those machine.

Also I tried to connect 1 of the machine wired to the router, and they can ping each other.
MachineA--Ap121--L2SW--MachineB (this works)
MachineA--Ap121--L2SW--AP121--MachineB (this not working, both machine A and B connected to same AP)

Please let me know if you have any idea.
Thank you.

Good Idea Mike - on by default. Wonder if they made a new one and left it un-checked.

Hello Mike and Travis

Thank you very much for your help.
I think you are correct, I can see the check is not there and thats why AP users can not communicate with each other!

Thank you again for your help!
