Any problem with hmupdates.aerohive.com ?

Hello all,

Is there a problem with hmupdates.aerohive.com today ?

the server is not responding, so when I log to my hivemanager (on-premise), I can read this message : 

Welcome to Aerohive HiveManagerLicense information will automatically be removed because HiveManager lost its network connection
with the license server (hmupdates.aerohive.com). Please check your network settings.

only 2 choice : "Enter Key" and "Continue"

hmupdates.aerohive.com doesn't respond to ping (tested from multiple location on internet)

Any idea ? (maintenance problem ?)

Hi Laurent,

It is possible that there is an issue but hmupdates.aerohive.com does not respond to ICMP echo requests. So, sending a ping is not testing anything.

You can see that it appears to be up by navigating to https://hmupdates.aerohive.com/

Is it possible that there is a local condition that's preventing your HiveManager from accessing it?

I suggest using something like Wireshark to see what's going on from a packet perspective.

Thanks Nick,

I didn't know that this server doesn't reply to ping...

A small correction in a "new" firewall rule, and all seems to be ok now.
