Hi All

Yesterday I tried to schedule a full backup on a An Aerohive AP121 from:

Home > Administration > HiveManager Operations > Backup Database

Ive set the start and end times and specified the interval. For the remote site (which is a local PC on the LAN), I have specified its private IP address, left the port as 22 (TCP/SSH) and specified the file path of where I want the file to be stored which is a folder on the PC's desktop. Im unsure of exactly what the 'SCP Remote Site' option is but have used it because the intended destination is not an FTP server.

As this was set yesterday afternoon to run in the early hours of this morning, I expected to see the file in its intended destination.

Unfortunately this is not the case, could anyone point me to the direction of what I have overlooked? Should I be using port 69 for TFTP?

Ive tried to find some relevant documentation but have been unable to do so. If anyone could point me in the right direction on both points, it would be very much appreciated?

Kindest Regards

You will need to be running some form of SCP/TFTP/FTP server on the client that you wish for the backup to be sent to.

3CDaemon is a lightweight TFTP/FTP client/server utility. Filezilla would also work. Once that is setup to listen on the proper port on the end machine, and if the backup is configured correctly within your hivemanager, the backups should offload to this device.
