Hey guys. I am new to Aerohive, I have aerohives at my school, and I am trying to configure them. My question is can I make the aerohives to authenticate with the domain controller, that way my teachers and students can use their user id and password set up in the beginning of the year for them, and not have to remember several passwords but just to enter their own, and log them in the wireless network, using the Captive portal? and If it does how can I make that happen. Thanks guys

Deyan,
Yes, you can do this. Search the online help for HiveManager for "Defining AAA Server Settings", I think the write-up there is pretty good. If you have any specific questions about the process, feel free to add to this thread.

Hi Deyan,

In addition to the help documentation Mike referenced, we do have a configuration guide for RADIUS using Aerohive here-
http://www.aerohive.com/330000/docs/h...

In your particular instance, you'll want to start on page 22 for a step-by-step guide on configuring this.
This will typically provide the SSID as 802.1X. However if you would like the user authentication to be entered by users into the captive web portal we also support this. We have another walk through for configuring this as well here-
http://www.aerohive.com/330000/docs/h...

And as always, if you have any questions along the way, feel free to use this thread to reply and ask! :]
