AeroHive HiverManager NG - Connection Issues

Dear All,

We're having several connection issues updating configurations due to file downloads failing.

  • It seems whenever something needs to be downloaded by the AP's over port 443 it fails. This leads to not being able to update configuration files. This behaviour started occuring out of the blue.
    .e.g. DHCP Fingerprints, Captive Web Portal files, OS Images etc.

  • Below is an example of what happens when we try to manually save something to one of the AP's
AH-502740#save image https://cloud-ie.aerohive.com:443/afs-webapp/hiveos/images/AP122-8.1r2a.img.S admin VHM-******* password ********************* basic no-prompt
  % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
                                 Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed
  0     0    0     0    0     0      0      0 --:--:--  0:00:09 --:--:--     0

  • So basically nothing happens.The above mentioned files can be downloaded however upon the same network, using a computer;
root@XXXX:/mnt/c# wget https://cloud-ie.aerohive.com/afs-webapp/hiveos/images/AP122-8.1r2a.img.S --user=VHM-***** --password=*******

  • DNS resolving does seem to work on the AP's;
AH-502740#ping cloud-ie.aerohive.com
PING cloud-ie.aerohive.com (34.253.190.201) 56(84) bytes of data.

  • CAPWAP connection 12222 over UDP also seems to work
AH-502740#capwap ping cloud-ie.aerohive.comCAPWAP ping parameters:

  • It's as if there is a bug in the current OS Image?

We've noticed these during debugging;

failed to http from server, rc=8960(35)

Is this rc related to curl error 8960?
